A brilliant hotel with friendly staff, beautiful decor and well thought out rooms.
The room was huge and had excellent amenities. The sofa bed was good quality and the double bed was huge! The staff at reception and in the curious tavern were lovely and really accommodating and talkative.
Great hotel great location
We visited on 04th August and from the moment we arrived we were made extremely welcome by Darren . Our Room was very comfortable and larger than expected. Nice chilled bar area on 1st floor and a quirky pub on ground floor. All the staff at the hotel we met were very friendly polite and professional.
Staff at the breakfast service were lovely and the breakfast was plentiful with every taste catered for. Will definitely be revisiting in the future.
Lovely, if a little tired 1
Had a lovely 2 night stay. Our room was furnished nicely. The mattress felt a bit too soft and overused. The main light, was more of a ornamental feature, as it didn't give off much light. But there were lights either side of the bed.
The shower was good, but the toilet seat fell off. Maintance did sort it while we were out, but it was very much a temporary fix. The staff we saw were friendly and informative. A very good location. I read some reviews where people complained about the noise outside. It's a city centre, a very social one! So the earplugs provided are a great idea. Slept very well. Aircon was good too, not too cold. Didn't really get the point of having alexa in the room, but possibly handy for some. Not a bad hotel at all.
Convenient and friendly place to stay
The George Hotel (Mercure Nottingham City Centre Hotel) is an excellent place to stay. Just a couple of minutes walk from the Lace Market tram stop, it is convenient for travellers arriving on public transport. It is also within the area of the city centre so shops, The Beach and the castle are all within easy reach. There are many places to eat close to the hotel or, as we did, take the tram to a quieter restaurant outside the centre...
Attentive staff and lovely room
The hotel is easily accessible by tram from the railway station. On arrival were were greeted by a very helpful member of staff on reception. There had been a problem when my husband had tried to pre-authorise his credit card online and the man made sure this was sorted out, as he was concerned we could be over charged...
Top class
Polite staff. Clean room. Good food.
Great stay
Wonderful stay at the Mercure Hotel for a family wedding. Special thanks to Darren and William at reception, who were very responsive, kind and helpful and made our stay all the better. We will be back!!!
Central location
Very friendly and welcoming staff, thanks to Peter and Darren from Reception, they have been very helpful.
In walking distance you can find Restaurants and Bars, 10 min to Nottingham Station or you can use the Tram.
