Central and friendly
Nice reception, good quality room - central location
Sabrin was very polite and helpful, whilst awaiting my Pizza delivery we chatted and she was engaging and professional.
I would stay at this hotel again
Thanks and best wishes ……………………
Weekend stay in Nottingham
Our stay at Mecure Nottingham Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Lovely room, we did upgrade to superior room. Excellent location, hub of thriving restaurant scene, with convenient of site parking which was subsidised from £20 to £10 a day. Plus breakfast was everything you would expect and more. However the staff were the icing on the cake, they could not have been more friendly and attractive. In particular Sabin, who arranged the most sumptuous afternoon tea for us, due to kitchen staff shortages forcing the closure of the hotel restaurant.
One thing to note. It is a city centre hotel so street noise is an issue but that can't be a reflection on the hotel.
Great night away.
Stayed here and had a brilliant time. We had a voucher given as a Christmas present to include a three course meal but because the restaurant was closed they upgraded us to a Suite, provided afternoon tea and a bottle of procesco as an alternative . The afternoon tea was better than the one we had for our 40th Wedding Anniversary at Betty's Tea Room in Harrogate. We highly recommend the Hotel for it's location and friendly staff.
University hunt
Went to Nottingham to look at some universities. We stayed in the Mercure and to be honest we always stay here. It’s right in the centre of all the night life but even though it is still quiet as they have extra glazing in the windows. Friendly staff great shower great location
Excellent value
Friendly reception and a large apparently newly decorated and renovated room. Breakfast was excellent and all for less than £80. And Parking was subsidised. Worse thing was the one way system to get to the car park and then getting luggage to the hotel - but only 5 mins walk
Beautiful Hotel!
The location of this hotel is right in heart of city and close to parking and trams etc. Our room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean! Loved the little extras....and the bed was the biggest we have stayed in! We will definitely be back!
The staff was super friendly and helpful and breakfast was a fabulous set up for the day. Cannot fault anything at all :)
Leisure trip to Nottingham
Central location. Right by restaurant district. Original room decor. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Two night stay for a friend’s wedding - wanted to be able to see the City centre and do some shopping before the event. This was ideal.
An amazing hotel with amazing staff
Stayed here for 2 nights as my apartment was being prepped for my move in. It was so amazing starting from the staff to the food and quite nice rooms with great facilities such as a gym. Had such a great chat with Chris who works at the front desk and he’s an absolutely amazing person and made my stay even better.
The oldest Hotel in Nottingham still retains its charm with some super people working in it
The oldest Inn in Nottingham still draws a full house to this day. Centrally located, a few minutes walk from the station, the shopping mall and in the heart of art district it could not have been better located. There are at least a hundred restaurants nearby with most of the top rated being a few hundred feet away. The reception and the staff are a joy to interact with. Big Shout out to Sabrin, possibly one of the happiest and most helpful reception staff I have come across for a while and I travel a lot. Well done guys was a pleasure staying in Mercure George street.
Evening Event in Function Room
We didn't stay overnight in this hotel, so the review is just for an event we hosted last night in the first floor function room.
We were assisted by the lovely Sabrin, for whom nothing was too much trouble. At the last minute we needed to completely rearrange the layout of the room, and Sabrin gave us a friendly, helpful & efficient service throughout. She also helped us move all our gear into one of the hotel's store rooms where we left it overnight.
Road access to the hotel is a little challenging, especially if you don't know your way around Nottingham, but this is in no way Mercure's fault. In fact one of the maintenance guys (I'm afraid I didn't catch his name, but thank you again) came with us in the vehicle, after he had helped us unload our equipment and carry it upstairs, and directed us to the nearest car park.
