Amazing staff and location
Stayed for two nights with my son. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were amazing, so friendly. They joked with us and made is feel right at home, nothing seemed to much for them. The room was great and fully prepared, it was very clean and we had the lovely touch of some refreshments in our fridge. Ear plugs were supplied due to the location of the hotel being so central to all the entertainment in Nottingham. We loved the room. Breakfast was Delicious the staff serving were amazing. This hotel is a great credit to the Mercure chain. I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to my friends and family.
Fantastic hotel
Only stayed the one night but the staff were excellent very friendly and well presented. The hotel was very clean and had a modern vintage feel to it. To say its the oldest hotel in Nottingham you wouldnt be able to tell its got all the mod cons and nicely decorated throughout. Breakfast was amazing from all you can eat continental to full english and the first floor restaurant was nicely situated in the corner of the building making it light and spacious. The only thing i would complain about is that it had only one lift but it wasnt really a problem.. situated in the centre of nottingham ten minutes walk to motorpoint arena and rock city.... Excellent Hotel, Five stars all day long*****
Graduation visit
Lovely time , really lovely old building with oddles of character . Subrine, and all the staff were so friendly , attentive and caring . Our room was so lovely , with beautiful decor and amazingly comfortable super king size bed , complimentary drinks in the fridge and a really good coffee machine which is always a bonus 😁.
The bar was very intimately furnished with beautiful tea light candles , cosy chairs surrounding a beautiful ‘real look ‘ fire place . Very homely and cosy .
Breakfast was very hearty , with plenty to choose from , sausage , bacon , beans , choice of scrambled egg or fried , beans , hash browns and mushrooms and tomatoes . And also pastries , croissants and cereals . Service was excellent .
Very central location , and 1 minute away from free disabled parking . Lots of lovely shops and restaurants near by , highly recommend the tapas round the corner 👏.

Ticks all the boxes
Stayed for 2 nights, absolutely no complaints. All staff friendly and helpful, location in city centre perfect, surrounded by numerous restaurants and bars. Room spacious and bed comfy. Breakfast was buffet style, plentiful and good quality. Parked in Lace Market car park as per instructions from hotel which was easy and very close to hotel, plus it’s discounted by hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely clean beautiful hotel. Great location.
I liked the location as we were attending an event at the Motorpoint Arena. The staff were friendly and professional. Rooms were clean. Loved the decor. Liked that there was a walk in shower as I have trouble climbing into a bath. Liked that we got discounted parking rates. £20 for two days is ok.
